Warehouse Manager

As part of their ongoing development and organisational changes, Abbott are now looking for their new Warehouse Manager.
This role will work cross functionally between Purchasing, Warehousing, Quality, Logistics, Freight and Customer Services. The main focus areas are coordination of warehouse team and utilising the collective knowledge and insight to improve warehouse effectiveness and efficiency in alignment with IDDM Supply Chain policies.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Monitor and report performance / trending levels meeting and exceeding targets.
• Establish and maintain professional, collaborative relationships.
• Coordinate activities to ensure cooperation with all participants.
• Review warehousing procedures, key metrics, service levels, efficiency and cost structures in order to exploit possible opportunity.
• The job holder will work closely with other members of ARDx’s Logistics teams and Supply Chain professionals in the operating entities to identify improvements across the Supply Chain.
• The job holder will be comfortable analysing data and providing reports to management on KPI’s and varying projects.
• Training and education in relation to SAP ERP and warehouse processes to ensure knowledge and understanding exists to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
• Record successful milestones especially those aligned to agreed goals and projects that support strategic business targets.
• Maintain training and education in relation to SAP ERP and inventory processes to ensure knowledge and understanding exists to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
• Warehouse & Inventory Control related data extraction / analysis to support management insight.
• Warehouse and Inventory-related budgeting process and approval of related invoices and tracking against budget.
• Project related support where required.
• Ensure conformance to ISO9001 in relation to process and document control procedures as stated in the Quality Management System. Drive supplier improvements through the Agile quality system in the form of quality incidents and supplier corrective actions.
• Keep up to date with changes regarding shipping of dangerous goods and provide shipping awareness training to the Supply Chain and CS Teams.
Requirements
• Several years of experience in Supply Chain specifically warehousing.
• Qualified (or working towards) APICs / CSCP (certified supply chain professional) level.
• SAP/ERP system knowledge and experience.
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, Power-point Outlook and Project as an advantage
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• To facilitate the interaction with sites on different time zones, occasional out of hours working required
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal across cultures)
• Highly numerate with an aptitude for analysis
• People management skills
• Ability to lead meetings (by phone, video conference and face to face) to drive results and build relationships
• Travel as required (advance notice to be provided)
